Welcome to the Sequencing Overview article!
Email sequencing with Current allows you to send preferred automated emails to a list of your chosen ambassadors and creators over a set timeframe. It helps nurture your creator relationships, keep them engaged, and guide them through different stages of your campaign funnel.
Please note: The Sequencing feature may not be available for all users. If you don’t see this option within your hub or are having issues with this step, feel free to contact us at Current with any questions.
Let's get started!
After logging into your Current hub, navigate to the Communication tab in the left-hand menu. By default, you will land on the Chat section.
To proceed, click on the Sequences tab at the top of your Communication dashboard, as shown below.
Let's create a new sequence together!
Once in the sequencing tab, you'll see the option to create your first sequence in the center of your screen:
If you have already created a sequence, you will see a dashboard displaying your existing sequences along with key data points our platform tracks, including recipients, open rates, replies, and more.
After clicking "New Sequence," a pop-up will appear.
- Here you will name your sequence and choose the system email address you set up for sending and receiving emails.
- Please refer to our Account Settings Overview article for setting up your System email in your Current hub. You will need to have this set up in order to utilize the Sequencing feature.
After completing the above prompts, you'll enter the Steps tab of your sequence where you can refine and plan each step, as well as toggle the sequence between active and inactive. If you're not ready to activate it, you can keep it inactive until it's just right!
You will see that default steps will already be in place. Not to worry, you can delete, edit, or update these with your preferred content, along with viewing insights like sent, opened, and reply reports on each step.

Note: the first email/step is set to send immediately.
- For later steps, you can adjust the send time based on interaction and choose whether to send them as part of a thread or as standalone emails.
Overall, this stage offers plenty of editing options for your sequence.
Next, we will navigate to the Contacts tab.
This is where you will add the contacts you want to include in this sequence. As discussed in our Recruit and Program Overview article, you can create specific lists from existing contacts.
- Any lists you create in your Recruit and Program tabs can also be accessed and added in the contacts tab of your sequence.
Lastly, let's visit the sequence Settings tab.
Here you can view the email connected to your sequence. Please note that you cannot change this once the first email in the sequence has been sent to a contact.
Lastly, let's navigate the following tabs to explore what you'll see at the top of your Sequencing Dashboard after your sequence is created.
This will tell you number of steps (emails) included in the sequence; each step represents a separate email that will be sent to recipients.
Note: Clicking directly on your sequence name will take you to the details and email contents of each step created as detailed in creating a sequence above.
Note: This excludes recipients who have completed the sequence or have been removed.
This is calculated by dividing the total number of email opens by the total number of emails sent.
This indicates engagement and potential follow-up opportunities.
