In some cases, a sale may not automatically be attributed to a creator, even if they believe they influenced the purchase.
This can occur for a variety of reasons, including customer privacy settings, incognito browsing, cookie blockers, alternate discount code usage, or other tracking limitations. These factors can occasionally prevent standard referral tracking from capturing the sale.
When this happens, your team has the ability to review the order and manually assign it to a creator if you determine the request is valid. Regardless of the reason attribution did not process automatically, the manual attribution steps outlined below will remain the same.
Log in to your brand hub and navigate to the Reporting tab in the left-hand menu.
Select All Sales.
Use the available filters to refine your search (date range, creator, discount codes, order subtotal, customer, etc.).
Tip: Selecting All Time as the date range can be helpful when locating specific historical orders. Please note that large datasets may take a moment to load.
Search the order number in question to review why it was not attributed. Please note: If an order does not populate in your search, please confirm the following:
- The correct date range is selected
- The full and exact order number is entered (including any additional characters, such as acronyms, prefixes, or a “#”)
To Manually Attribute an Order:
Select the relevant order number(s).
Click the three dots next to the date range filter.
Choose Assign sale(s) to an ambassador.
Search for and select the appropriate creator.
Once assigned, the order will be attributed to that creator and the standard payment flow will proceed accordingly!
