Understanding Order Attribution

Order attribution determines when a creator earns a commission for a customer’s purchase.

When you’re invited to a brand’s program, you’ll most often have a commission percentage they’ve set for you. You can view this at any time in your Payment Section as seen below:

However, not all brands will set up a commission percentage for you. Some programs may be PR-driven, focusing on product reviews and access rather than monthly commission payments.

Because of this, it’s important to understand your specific role and compensation structure when joining a brand’s campaign or affiliate program!

How Order Attribution Works

For an order to be attributed to you, it must meet one of the following requirements:

  • The customer places an order through your affiliate link, and/or

  • The customer uses your discount code at checkout.

If neither step happens, the order won’t automatically attach to your account.

Please note that certain customer behaviors (such as using incognito browsers, cookie blockers, or restrictive privacy settings) can interfere with attribution.

You can find your affiliate link and/or discount code on your home screen after logging in, as shown below:

Commission Payments

Commissions are calculated based on your set percentage for attributed orders. Payments for these commissions will appear within the next (or applicable) month’s payment structure once fully processed.

If you have any further questions surrounding order attributions, please don't hesitate to contact the brand you are affiliated with through the communication tab in your account, or submit a contact request to our team! We are always here to help.
